How much do the design packages cost?
We offer design services at multiple price points to suit different budgets. Our premium design packages (with studio experience) range from $1,360 for bathrooms and built-ins to $2,380 for kitchens. We also offer basic design packages at lower rates from our talented remote designers, as well as hourly design assistance for clients who need targeted help. Selection packages are custom-priced based on scope. 3D renderings are typically included with full design packages. The $195 consultation fee is credited toward your design package if you proceed. We provide detailed pricing during your consultation based on your specific project needs and budget.
What is the difference between drawing packages and selection packages?
Drawing packages include professional architectural plans—floor layouts, elevations, cabinet details, and electrical/plumbing layouts. These technical drawings are essential for accurate estimates and construction. Selection packages focus on finishes and materials—helping you choose cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, paint colors, hardware, and flooring. Most clients benefit from both: drawings provide the construction roadmap, while selections ensure cohesive design and prevent costly mistakes or delays during installation.
Do I have to use Can Do More for the renovation if I use your design services?
While our design services are integrated with our renovation capabilities for the best experience, you are not required to use us for construction. However, most clients choose our design-build approach because it eliminates coordination issues between separate designers and contractors, ensures the construction team understands the design intent, provides accountability with one point of contact, and often results in better pricing since we can provide accurate estimates from the detailed plans we created.
How long does the design process take?
The design timeline depends on project complexity and your decision-making pace. Initial consultation takes 2 hours. Drawing packages typically require 2-3 weeks from concept to final plans. Selection packages can take 1-2 weeks depending on the number of finishes and your availability for showroom visits. 3D renderings are usually ready within 1-2 weeks. Most complete design packages (drawings + selections + renderings) are finished within 4-6 weeks, though we can expedite if you have a specific construction start date.
